; Filter by course : The report pulls data for all courses by default (unless you're accessing via the link on the [[Completion report by course]] page). To restrict results to a single course, use the '''Course search''' bar.
; Filter by date range : The '''Date search''' option allows you to define a start and end date for the results. Tick the box next to either date to enable it (the report returns results for all time by default), and enter a valid range.

The '''Show chart data''' link below the plot allows you to view the numerical totals for each month. To jump to the [[Completion report by course]] page from this report, click on the button at the top right of the page.

==Note==
The data for each month show in the report will also be split by year. You can show/hide the information the report displays by clicking on the graphical bars.
