IOMAD 4.5 (LTS) was released in February 2025. You can find release notes for this version on its IOMAD.org page.

Server prerequisites

For more detail, see the software requirements for Moodle 4.5.

Minimum version to upgrade: IOMAD 4.1 or Moodle 4.1 (4.1.2 minimum).
Required PHP settings: PHP extension sodium is required. The max_input_vars variable should be set to 5000 or greater in php.ini. Only 64-bit variants of PHP are supported.
