Server prerequisites

For more detail, see the software requirements for Moodle 4.4.

  • Minimum version to upgrade: IOMAD 4.1 or Moodle 4.1 (4.1.2 minimum).
  • Required PHP settings: extension sodium is now required. The max_input_vars variable must be set to 5000 or greater in php.ini. As of IOMAD 4.1 (LTS) only 64-bit PHP variants are supported.
