IOMAD 4.4 was released in December 2024. You can find release notes for this version on its IOMAD.org page.

Server prerequisites

For more detail, see the software requirements for Moodle 4.4.

Minimum version to upgrade: IOMAD 4.1 or Moodle 4.1 (4.1.2 minimum).
Required PHP settings: extension sodium is now required. The max_input_vars variable must be set to 5000 or greater in php.ini. As of IOMAD 4.1 (LTS) only 64-bit PHP variants are supported.
