The Learning plan templates page is where Learning plan templates can be created and managed. It can be accessed through the IOMAD dashboard:
- Go to the IOMAD dashboard.
- Choose the company you'd like to edit from the Select a company dropdown (or use the company selector at the top right of the page).
- Click on the Competencies tab.
- Select Learning plan templates.
Learning plan templates
Existing frameworks can be edited, duplicated, or deleted on this page by selecting Edit from the action menu then Edit settings, Duplicate, or Delete as appropriate. Here the admin can also find the options to Create learning plans, Add cohorts to sync, and Add learning paths to sync. This is the same as for the core Moodle functionality of the same name.
Adding and Editing templates
A new Learning plan template can be added with the Add new learning plan template button.
The Add new learning plan template page has a number of fields:
- Name
- This is the name of the template.
- Description
- A description of the template.
- Visible
- Whether or not the template is shown to users (while creating a learning plan, the admin will probably want this to be No).
- Due date
- When the learning plan is due to start by.
- Category
- What template is system-specific or company-specific
Adding competencies to a learning plan
Clicking on the name of the Learning plan template will take the admin to the Learning plan competency page, where competencies are added to the Learning plan templates.
Clicking on Manage competencies and frameworks will take the admin to the Competency frameworks page, where Competencies are created and managed.
Assigning Learning plans to users
Selecting Edit from the Action column, then Create learning plans, will take the admin to the Learning plans page. Here, Learning plans (rather than Learning plan templates) the Learning plan templates are created for users.
Users are selection from the Select users to create learning plans for field to the top of the page.
Syncing Learning paths
Learning paths not already part of the template can be added on their own. This is done by selecting Edit from the Action column of the relevant template, then Add learning paths to sync.
From this page, existing Learning paths are selected from the Select learning paths to sync field toward the top of the page.
