Products (IOMAD E-Commerce)
The Products page for IOMAD E-Commerce is where products are created, configured, and managed. Before it can be accessed, the E-Commerce block must be configured in settings.
Once configured, the page can be accessed through the IOMAD dashboard:
- Go to the IOMAD dashboard.
- Choose the company you'd like to edit from the Select a company dropdown (or use the company selector at the top right of the page).
- Click on the IOMAD E-Commerce tab.
- Select Products.
Configuring the E-Commerce block
Setting up a payment account
A payment account needs to be configured in Moodle before the e-commerce block can be used.
- Go to Site administration -> General -> Payment -> Payment accounts.
- Click Create payment account.
- Fill in the account name and ID number fields, then hit Save changes.
' NB: Configuring a payment gateway for the account needs to be done separately - you can find these settings under Site administration -> Plugins -> Payment gateways -> Manage payment gateways.
Configuring the block
Once a payment account is set up, the settings for the e-commerce block can be configured via Site administration -> Plugins -> Blocks -> IOMAD eCommerce. Once these are set, you are ready to begin creating products for sale.
NB: Still can't access the block? Make sure that all necessary fields on the IOMAD eCommerce configuration page are filled - including the admin first name, last name, and email address, which are empty by default.
Managing Products
The Products page shows a list of products.
New courses can be added as products with the Add new course button.
Product Templates
Products can be exported using the Export product button, allowing products to be easily shared across companies.
Products that have been exported can be imported using the Import product button.
Shop Tags
Shop tags are used to group products together. They are identifiable in the search bar, making it easier for users to find them. Tags can be managed by clicking the Manage tags button toward the end of the page.
Actions
Each product has the actions Edit, Delete, and Hide/Show.
