IOMAD Merge user accounts
The IOMAD Merge user accounts page allows for merging user accounts with minimal loss of data. The page can be found by navigating as follows:
- Go to the IOMAD dashboard.
- Choose the company you'd like to edit from the Select a company dropdown (or use the company selector at the top right of the page).
- Click on the Users tab.
- Select IOMAD Merger user accounts.
Stage 1., Choose users to merge
The IOMAD Merger user accounts page allows for users with adequate permissions to search for users within the company. The Search for User field allows for searching for user Id, Username, First name, Last name or Email address.
Clicking the show more... link displays two more fields, which allows for selecting two specific users: the User to be removed and User to be kept. The former will have their data merged into the latter. This is useful if the admin is aware what specific users they would like to merge, and does not want to search for them.
Searching for the users will display a table of all users with data matching that specified in the Search for User field. From this list can be selected the aforementioned User to be removed and User to be kept.
Stage 2., Confirm users to merge
In this stage, users selected in the first stage are displayed in a table.
Here, the admin can choose to return to stage 1 to change their choice by clicking Cancel or clear their choice entirely by clicking Clear current user selection. To confirm the selection and move on to stage 3, they must select Merge user accounts.
Stage 3., Merging results and log
This section will display the logs relating to the user merger, and confirm whether the merge was successful.
